Startline Bursary 2027 Application

Thanks for your interest in the Startline Bursary for El SUR 2027. Please read about the bursary BELOW before submitting your application.

The bursary is to help enable access to our bikepacking events for more people from under-represented backgrounds. To qualify for the bursary, you need to be from an under-represented group and would otherwise not be able to financially afford to come to our events. Under-represented groups in bikepacking include but are not limited to: women, ethnic minorities, non-binary, transgender. If you feel you are from an under-represented group, but do not fall into one of these groups, please tell us why in your application. To maximise the impact of the bursary, we are looking for applications from people within Europe.

Successful recipients of the Bursary will receive (funded by L’esperit): 

• Free entry to El Sur 2027.

• Contribution of up to €200 to cover travel and accommodation costs to help get you to the start line.

• Equipment loan of Tailfin products, for during the event.

• Free event tracking covered by Follow My Challenge.

• Group mentoring.

There are five spaces available for the Bursary at El Sur. Applications are now open and close on 29th October at 00:00 CET. Once the application window has closed, applications will be reviewed and accepted based on suitability and, if oversubscribed, then random selection. We will respond to all applicants within 14 days of applications closing.
